Sony's new Ebook Reader........

Yay its Sony's New PRS-505 Ebook Reader!

I suppose you detected the sarcasm in our post...As much as we love reading books and ebook readers...This just doesn't make the cut in this digital age of ours...Well i mean its ok but no comic book support??!!! Comics have full color page panels and if you guys dont support that, I don't know how excited i can get about this?? The reader comes in silver or dark blue and a slimmer form factor...This thing only supports black and white...You'll get 100 classic ebook titles with purchase (big whoopee)...I'm sorry Sony, I just can't get excited about a grayscale reader in this color multimedia age we live in (I mean even the Iphone has an ebook reader)...

Might we suggest waiting for this bad boy (color-capable & extremely lightweight) prototype ebook reader from Fujitsu to come to fruition?

Finally, to add insult to injury the big S is standing firm on the PRS-505's $299 price point. I personally wouldn't buy this thing for $100 but hey i suppose there are ebook readers out there who will appreciate this toy...We at Techfiends, just don't happen to fit that category...I'm sorry Sony but you guys need to get with the times and quit trying to rip your customer off with these ridiculously high price points for every gizmo, toy, and gadget you guys put out!!! First $600 for the PS3 now this??? What's next a $1000 mp3 player??? I wouldn't put it past them :(
